Work

  • a2 Milk website

    The a2 milk company website

a2 Milk had multiple sites internationally, however the backend allowed for all kinds of inconsistencies and errors across their websites. Our aim was to make something new with a solid code base that could be rolled out across the board. A lot of time went into making code and CMS functionality easy to understand and future proof. As one of the first sites we built supporting IE10 up - it was a great opportunity to test out Flexbox for layouts.

  • Healthcare Australia website

    Healthcare Australia Website

HCA's previous site was well outdated and in need of a redesign to increase their acquisition of doctors and allied health professionals. The site needed a custom theme to be built in Wordpress and involved using cookies to personalise the site, as well as building a job search module that searched a database of jobs received from an XML file.

  • Fairfax eDM's

    Fairfax Media edm's

Many eDM's were coded for Fairfax, including versions for all local newspapers - The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Canberra Times, Brisbane Time etc. Some were built into templates using their CRM platform Exact Target. All eDM's were litmus tested on every device other than Blackberry and Lotus <7

  • Qantas Points Destination website

    Qantas Points destination Website

For Qantas Points Destination, I was able to play with parallax scrolling techniques and background videos to bring the front page to life. Though only responsible for the front end development on the home page for this project, it was fun to work on. This was my first exposure to Angular and was a good opportunity to dive into the source.

  • Yellow Brick Road gameshow campaign

    Yellow Brick Road Landing Page

YBR were running a promotion to win $10,000 - though the design was questionable, it was a fun project. The site was built in static HTML that implemented a savings calculator and quiz section. The quiz was built from a JSON object of questions and answers that would randomly populate the quiz.

Campaign was completed and the site is no longer live.

  • Goodfood - Melbourne Night Noodle Markets

    Fairfax Media Web app

This one was out of my league at the time - which was perfect. Goodfood needed an app for their Nigh Noodle Markets in Melbourne. It needed to integrate with the Google Maps API to show a custom map with markers and information for all of their pop up stores. On top of this a rating system so users could rate and share their favourite stores. I can't claim responsibility for a lot of this project, but it was a heap of fun to work on with our head of development.

  • Symantec - 5 stages of data loss campaign

    Symantec Campaign website

This campaign was one of the first projects I got to jump in on at WiTH Collective. Though not responsible for a large portion of the site, I was able to learn a lot about GIT and working within a team on front end development tasks.

Interests

  • I love music and have been an active member of my church's music team as the years have gone by - ever since learning how to strum my first three chords...

  • I've recently taken up dance - didn't expect that one. Performing in front of 20k+ at the All Phones Arena would have to be a highlight. I also know how to spin a lady in 3 different ways when it comes to salsa.

  • I'm very keen on all water sports, especially waterskiing and wakeboarding. Taking hold of the gold at the Rotorua Wake & Ski Club was one of my proudest moments!

  • I previously played rugby all though high school and later for a club in England. Unfortunately loving this sport has some downsides. After two shoulder surgeries I've started playing touch footy in an after work league.
